Kim Lim Is Officially Separated, Ex Allegedly Tried To Claim A Ton Of Items While Owing Her Money
To say that it’s been a period of turmoil for Kim Lim would probably be an understatement. Soon after making headlines with a lavish wedding to her second husband - which involved 16 gold bangles, 2 tiaras, and a double-diamond wedding ring (which she somehow ended up breaking), the billionaire heiress’ marriage suddenly took a turn for the worst.
After keeping up a caring and gentle facade, Kim Lim’s ex-huband Leslie Leow did a complete 180 shortly after their big day - revealing his anger issues and rough nature. His constant lashing out caused her to suffer emotional trauma, but breaking up after just 2 months of marriage wasn’t the end of her problems.
For the past 8 months, the ex-couple has been embroiled in a tough legal battle, where Leslie had allegedly been trying to claim a long list of items from Kim - all while still owing her a large sum of money.

According to 8days, who reportedly got information about the split from “sources close to Kim”, Leslie had a ton of things he wanted to claim from her in the midst of their breakup. These allegedly included a pair of Crocs worth $120, and Sonos speakers worth $1,200, but these didn’t hold in court.

Another source said that Leslie took back the whole stack of 15 gold bars he had given Kim as part of their traditional Guo Da Li ceremony. However, a different source stated that most of the $2 million worth of opulent betrothal gifts - including but not limited to 2 Hermès bags, gem-studded Jimmy Choo shoes, and a pile of gold jewellery - were actually from Kim’s side of the family.
That source also alleges that Kim had actually loaned Leslie close to half a million dollars to pay for the wedding, which he said he would eventually return, but never did.

The truth regarding the details of this messy legal conflict remains a mystery to the rest of us, but thankfully for Kim, all this negativity can remain in the past. After the initial struggle, their separation was finally made official by signing a Deed of Separation in early February 2023 - just a week shy of Valentine's Day.
Kim took to Instagram Stories to share her joy, saying that despite how traumatic the past 8 months had been, she’s happy that she’s finally “done with all the nonsense [she] had to deal with because of [Leslie]”.
“I am super duper glad to be able to put all these behind me and move on with my life.”
“Although I am disappointed with how everything turned out, I am also thankful for having learnt a valuable lesson.”
Right underneath that last statement was a bride emoji, with a big red cross striking it out. Although she hasn’t explicitly stated this, it seems like she’s currently set on a marriage-free life.
